Who am I?

Since I was young and still in high School I worked as a guide at a local lodge in Northern Ontario on the Ottawa River. We targeted a multitude of different fish species including Big Northern Pike, Walleye and Bass as our main focus. Now more than 15 years later I’m running my own Guiding business and different opportunities for many species including Musky open water and on the ice, Walleye, Northern Pike, Long Nose Gar and one of my specialties Euro Style Carp Fishing . I have worked with a multitude of clients from one on one outings to group bookings. I am not exactly sure how many personal bests I have actually landed with clients over the years, but the number of true giants is quite high. It has been a crazy ride to get to where I are now and many long-term friendships have been made and will surely last a lifetime.

I Began fishing at the age of three which quickly grew into a passion I shared with my father and my family. By the age of 16 I was a multi species angler fishing as many competitive bass tournaments as I could fit in to my schedule of school and working at a near by lodge. When I turned 21 I had moved to Quebec and quickly started fishing for species I hadn't caught before. Including crappies on the ice, giant 50 plus inch musky as well as carp.

“There is only so much I can teach but the friendships made, laughs that are had, Amazing catches and the giants that got away always make you want to come back for more.”

Carp quickly took over every other fishing I did and I found myself on the bank as often as schedule would allow me. My boat went into storage for a few years and I started fishing almost solely carp in the open water and on the ice. This highly addictive fishing absolutely took me over and I couldn’t find myself fishing anything else. The technicalities in this fishing from reading the water, to the feeding of the fish, bait selection, spot selection and casting at extreme distances everything about it I loved. I started doing more and more local tournaments placing in a few. It wasn’t until spring of 2017 when I won my biggest tournament to date. The Shimano Carp cup, a 53-hour session against 14 of the best Carp anglers in Canada me and my partner prevailed. With a final count of 105 carp for 1887lbs more than all the other teams combined. This ensured me a place to fish the 2018 World Carp Classic in France and opening a whole new playing field of competition and fishing for myself.

In the last Year or so after the World Carp Cup I have still fished for Carp but mostly in the competitive side of things as well as selection and preparation of swims for clients. I have thoroughly enjoyed getting out more In the boat this last few seasons targeting aggressive predators like walleye, Musky and Long Nose Gar. Bringing me back to my routes of searching out trophy quality fish and being on the water as much as I can working on all species.

Fishing and the outdoors is absolutely everything I know and in this field of work one of the biggest pay outs for me is being able to pass on my experiences and tricks that can help other anglers move forward and enjoy all the same things that we are all out there for. Booked sessions are worked out for each individual client and their requirements. Session placement can be day to day or you can stay in a chosen swim for your entire stay. Venue placement is made to be sure it is the right one for the client and their abilities.

Our number one priority is always the client and I always ensure that by the end of their stay that they will be leaving with everything they came to me for. This is more than a job for me, it truly is my break away where I can put everything down and focus on what I am best at. I strive to make you feel you have had value for the money you have spent while you will enjoy your stay too. We go through with the client the steps we take to get on the fish and stay on the fish no matter the time of year. We have a lot of repeat customers with some now up to 8 repeated bookings! There is only so much I can teach but the friendships made, laughs that are had, Amazing catches and the giants that got away always make you want to come back for more. If you are still on the fence about booking with us don’t be nervous. We can deal with first timers to anglers with years of experience. It doesn’t matter if you are worried about casting or even your abilities. There is nothing to be worried about that’s what I am here for. To help you learn and get over those hurdles to catch your next personal best.
